Jaco Jacobs specializes in commercial, conveyancing, notarial, and property law, with nearly 20 years of experience. Marcia Amupolo, who founded Amupolo & Co. in 2017, leads our litigation practice and offers extensive expertise in general litigation, debt collection, family law, and estates. This innovative merger created a unique synergy of professional expertise and skill, enabling the transfer of knowledge grounded in sound business acumen and ethics. Together, they embody a shared commitment to integrity, client service, and innovation—fostering a dynamic team and enduring client relationships.

Jaco Jacobs
Founding Partner
Jaco is a founding partner of Jacobs Amupolo Lawyers and a practicing legal practitioner, notary public, and conveyancer. He specialises in property and commercial law, with a strong focus on real estate transactions, mortgage bond registrations, and advising financial institutions.
He obtained his B.Proc degree from the University of the Orange Free State where he was admitted as an attorney in Bloemfontein in 1999. Jaco is duly admitted as a legal practitioner and conveyancer in both South Africa and Namibia.
For nearly two decades, he has provided counsel to property owners, developers, mining companies, financiers, and commercial clients across a wide spectrum of transactions. His work spans residential and complex commercial property transfers, township developments, agricultural land and business sales, as well as the registration of mortgage and notarial bonds.
Jaco is recognised for his expertise in high-volume conveyancing, commercial property structuring, and regulatory compliance. He combines legal accuracy with modern technology and clear, cost-effective client service. His advice often extends to cost effective transaction structuring.
With over 20 years of professional experience, Jaco brings strategic leadership and practical legal insight to the firm’s operations and continues to play a pivotal role in its property law and finance practice.

Marcia Amupolo
Founding Partner
Marcia did a LLB Hons at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and thereafter her Post-Graduate Diploma in Labour Law.
She was admitted to the High Court of Namibia 2017 and is fluent in English and Oshiwambo.
Marcia is a former State Advocate who is well seasoned in dealing with cases of criminal nature and specializes in all aspects of litigation. Marcia initially worked as legal aid counsel for 9 years before joining the office of the prosecutor general.

Metanga Shivute
Candidate Legal Practitioner
Metanga Shivute is a dedicated Candidate Legal Practitioner based at our Northern Office. She holds an LLB (2023) and a Paralegal Diploma (2018) from the University of Namibia. She currently handles criminal and civil matters in Magistrates’ Courts nationwide, steadily completing her practical hours towards admission to the High Court of Namibia. Before joining the firm, she gained valuable insight into statutory development while working at the Directorate of Legislative Drafting, under Namibia's Ministry of Justice.

Dorcas Ogundiran
Team Leader: Litigation
Dorcas is a seasoned legal practitioner with over five years of legal experience, with more than three years of post-admission practice as a bar-qualified litigation attorney. Her expertise spans a wide range of Namibian law, including Civil, Criminal, Labour, Family, and Commercial matters, with a particular focus on general civil litigation and debt collection.
She is driven by a deep respect for due process, a natural problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, timely legal services. Dorcas approaches every matter with strategic insight and genuine client care and interaction, consistently aiming to deliver outcomes that exceed expectations.
Dorcas is highly skilled in managing complex disputes before both lower and superior courts. Her litigation experience includes action and motion proceedings, appeals, and advisory work across diverse legal forums. She is also adept at drafting legal documents and tailoring contractual agreements to suit specific client needs and cases.
With her strong procedural knowledge and practical advocacy, Dorcas plays a prominent role in the firm’s litigation practice, providing robust representation and reliable guidance across multiple domains.

Lynchin Strauss
Legal Practitioner
Lynchin Strauss is a dedicated litigation attorney based in our Windhoek office. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with cum laude distinction from the University of the Free State (2019) and was admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the High Court of Namibia in December 2022.
With over five years of experience across General, Criminal, Civil, and Labour litigation, Lynchin brings a versatile and results-driven approach to every matter she handles. She has a strong interest in Commercial Law, Property Law, Intellectual Property, and Conveyancing, offering clients strategic advice grounded in legal precision and practical insight.
Lynchin is known for her meticulous attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to ethical, client-focused representation. She believes in delivering effective legal solutions through collaboration, organisation, and a deep understanding of her clients’ unique needs.

Tungouwa (Tunga) Ndatewapo
Legal Practitioner – Litigation
Tungu is a driven legal practitioner with a strong focus on litigation. Her experience spans criminal law, labour disputes, civil matters, and communal land issues - making her a versatile asset in both courtroom strategy and client advocacy.
She began her legal in law firm practice in 2018. During this time, she also contributed to legal education as a part-time Criminal Justice lecturer at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), from 2023 to 2025.
In June 2025, she joined Jacobs Amupolo Lawyers & Conveyancers as a fully admitted Legal Practitioner. With her dynamic approach and keen legal insight, Tungouwa is steadily building a reputation for excellence in litigation and community-centred legal work.
